Forming her passions at a young age, and having penned her thoughts to songs for over a decade, Lizzie’s desire to express herself through music hasn’t faded. Finding influence in Wolf Alice, Beabadoobee, and Radiohead, she’s keen to blow the lid off any one sonic box. Working with her live band, the North East talent has had a busy live schedule. Establishing her sound with support slots for Baby Queen, The Amazons, Upsahl and Swim School – Lizzie is at home performing on the biggest festival stages including Glastonbury (2024), BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Boardmasters & many more – Esau has cemented her name as one to keep an eye on.
Working with Catherine Marks (Foals, Wolf Alice, The Killers) and long time producer / collaborator Steve Grainger, the music just keeps on flowing. Announced as BBC Introducing’s ‘One to Watch’ plus Absolute Radio’s Danielle Perry citing Esau as her featured January artist on the Sunday Night Music Club, you’ll be hearing lots of music from Lizzie this year. With early support from Notion, Clash, and Dork, Esau is ready to grasp with guitar in hand, all that the next 12 months has to offer.
