Giant Walker & Hawxx | The Head of Steam, Newcastle

Written during the 2020 lockdown, their debut album, “All In Good Time” features themes of self-isolation and a dystopian reality. Their music captures the many lows of loneliness and tips a hat to the music that gets you through hard times; sweeping you up in a conceptual journey, from giant riffs to melancholic melodies, and ambient soundscapes. The album was released in May 2022 and picked up a two-page spread as Metal Hammer’s ‘New Noise’, along with a multitude of reviews and features in a variety of respected publications and platforms, including the Daily Express, Sunday Sport, Prog Magazine, Planet Rock, BBC, Rolling Stone, and many others. Following the album launch, Giant Walker went on to sell out multiple dates on their first UK headline tour and are due to tour Europe in September with Black Orchid Empire.

In November 2021 their debut music video for Death of Silence won Best Rock Video at the International Music Video Awards and Hologram won Best Music Video at BFII Sweden. Summer of 2022 saw them play Download Festival and embark on a tour across the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands supporting Tremonti. 2020 saw them become winners of the PRS Women Make Music Award and give an exclusive performance at the Heavy Music Awards. In 2021 they won Metal to the Masses London and played a packed out tent at Bloodstock Festival, described by Metal Planet as an ‘I was there’ moment.
